I began yoga years ago, but deepened my practice after a near fatal motorcycle accident in 2008. I broke several bones and was told by medical professionals that because of my traumatic injuries I’d have to work hard to recover and manage relentless chronic pain. I came to learn that yoga was an effective natural alternative to cope and overcome what I was faced with. Naturally a strong desire to share the benefits and healing powers of yoga grew, and I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with 'Feel Good Yoga & Pilates' in Victoria. I have completed my 300 hour Vijnana yoga apprenticeship with Sandy Dillabaugh and Cathy Valentine. I am registered and insured with the Canadian Yoga Alliance. I encourage my students and clients to listen to their bodies, and I strive to create a safe space to do so. I am certified in Healing touch, Indian Head and Foot massage, as well as somatics and trauma informed yoga. I raise my three beautiful children in the lovely Cowichan Valley, love the island and take advantage of every opportunity to get out and enjoy its beauty. Looking forward to sharing a yoga class or providing you with a massage soon!!
